Arctic Gas – No Stopping ShtokmanApr 24, 2009 The world’s largest undeveloped offshore gas field, Shtokman, is finally on track, and an assembled industry believes in it. It’s Game On for the 3.8-trillion-cubic metre Eastern Barents Sea prize, and neither bad press nor Cold War junkies can stop it. That’s the consensus found by a survey of those with good reasons for following Russia’s USD 15-billion gas project. Gas companies, commodity traders, brokerages, subsea players and those with a stake in regional gas projects, like shippers and shipbuilders, say Shtokman is on – whatever the price.

Global Partnership to Reduce Methane EmissionsApr 24, 2009 During her recent visit to Oslo, US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Program Manager Carey Bylin met with both industry and the authorities to discuss their possible involvement in the EPA’s Natural Gas Star Program and the Methane to Markets Partnership.
