Norwegian drilling business Seadrill has gobbled up 20 percent of Aker Drilling and upped its stake in Norway-based Eastern Drilling to 45.5-percent, shareholders were informed Thursday via a slieu of statements.
Limerock Partners III L.P. sold Eastern shares to Seadrill Norge AS, giving the Seadrill Limited group of companies an ownership interest in Eastern Drilling worth 63.96 percent.
Seadrill also picked up six percent of Norway-based Scorpion Offshore.
