Dolphin has been awarded a significant contract with TGS in the Great Australian Bight to acquire 8.300 km2 of 3D contract seismic. The high-capacity 3D vessel M/V Polar Duchess will be used for this initial first season of work, commencing for an estimated 6 months of work in early January 2014.
The survey will be acquired with a large 12 streamer configuration with separations above 100m, and 8 km streamer length.
Polar Duchess has a proven safe capacity track record towing wide spreads in such frontier exploration areas. Dolphin's SHarp broadband acquisition technique shall be utilised for the survey.
