CGG has completed field acquisition of the 282 sq mile Avalon 3D seismic survey in Reeves and Loving Counties, Texas. Completed in 61 days, the high-end 400-fold broadband data establishes a new standard in high-end acquisition.
Targeting the Bone Springs, Wolfcamp and Cline formations in one of North America’s most prolific basins, the newly acquired data is part of a CGG-proprietary solution that ties the geophysical data to the geology using a multi-disciplinary approach. This data optimization package comprises advanced imaging, reservoir characterization and microseismic monitoring.
