Zenith Energy has completed well operations on the Europa Oil & Gas operated Kiln Lane well, located in North-east Lincolnshire on licence PEDL 181.
The Kiln Lane well was the first full project management contract for Zenith Energy, which spudded on 23 February 2015 and reached a total depth ('TD') of 2,291 metres on 19 March. Europa announced last week (23 March) that wireline logging and subsequent petrophysical analysis indicated that the sandstones encountered were water wet. The well has therefore been plugged and abandoned and the site shall be restored to agricultural use.
Operations director at Zenith Energy, Chris Collie, said: 'The completion of the Kiln Lane project marks a significant milestone in the evolution of Zenith as it is our first project managed well which is a huge achievement for the business in just under two and half years since it was first established. We successfully completed the project in an efficient, safe and timely manner which is testament to our experienced engineers and our continued focus on quality planning and performance for our clients. This contract puts us in a strong position for future growth and further projects.'
