Wood Group awarded 3-year contract extension by Hess

Wood Group has been reappointed for three years as the prime contractor by Hess Limited and co-venturers to provide operations & maintenance services to the Triton FPSO operating in the Bittern, and Greater Guillemot Area, located 140 miles east of Aberdeen. The contract also has three further one-year extension options and is estimated to be worth up to £50million per year.

"Wood Group is delighted to have been re-awarded this significant offshore contract, which marks more than 10 years' continuous service as prime contractor on Triton," said Alan Curran, Chief Executive of Wood Group's North Sea operations. "It confirms Hess Ltd and co-venturers' confidence in our ability to deliver best industry practice and to maintain and improve our HSE performance."

Wood Group is also providing operations and maintenance support to Hess's operations offshore in Equatorial Guinea.

Chris Wright, Field Operations Manager for Hess Ltd, said, "Wood Group has demonstrated continual improvements in safety and environmental performance on the Triton FPSO. We look forward to working together towards the continued operational excellence of the asset."
