Wireline and well intervention technology specialist Wireline Engineering has appointed Andrew Thomson as engineering manager to lead its global engineering teams.
Mr Thomson joins Wireline Engineering with 30 years industry experience. His most recent position was with Weatherford UK as engineering manager for Europe and West Africa and he has worked previously with Dril-Quip and FMC Kongsberg Subsea in engineering management roles.
He has a long and successful track-record managing engineering teams involved the design of subsea completions and downhole drilling and completion equipment.
The Glasgow Caledonian graduate holds a BSc in Mechanical Engineering and comes from Glasgow originally.
Based at Wireline Engineering’s headquarters in Aberdeen, UK, this appointment will provide dynamic new leadership to strengthen and expand the firm’s development of innovative new products.
