Tracerco, part of the FTSE 100 Johnson Matthey Plc, has developed the world’s first fully portable, lightweight and rugged system to field detect fuel use crimes such as adulteration and smuggling.
The new analyser, Nemesis, has undergone a series of rigorous trials in Malaysia to demonstrate suitability and robustness in hot and humid tropical conditions and prove its reliability in remote regions with unmade roads, including off-road, ahead of future deployment in the Asia region
The testing proved that Nemesis’ bespoke application software and communications systems are robust enough to handle remote locations and be integrated into a government authority’s field-testing/inspection programme.
