Tendeka has secured a four-year contract extension with Statoil for the supply of sand-face completion equipment for the Troll field, as well as other fields under Statoil’s operation in the Norwegian Continental Shelf (NCS). The agreement will see Tendeka install up to 40,000 joints of sand screens fitted with autonomous inflow control devices, as well as zonal isolation packers.
The project extension will commence in January 2015 following a successful first contract period in which Tendeka manufactured and supplied more than 16,000 joints of sand screens with inflow control devices (ICDs) and autonomous inflow control devices (AICDs).
Gary Smart, Tendeka’s chief executive said: “The four year contract extension award by Statoil is tremendous news and is testimony to demonstrable technology value and customer service. This award along with a recent stream of awards across several geographies for our sand and inflow control technology expands our position in the global market and confirms Tendeka as the market leader in autonomous inflow control technology.”
