Tendeka

Tendeka, the new parent organisation for three leading energy technology providers, has named its chairman and chief executive officer (CEO).

The company, launched earlier this month, combines digital monitoring solutions provider, Sensornet, swellable elastomers experts, Swellfix, and wireless well communication and downhole instrumentation specialists, Well Technology. Its aim is to consolidate specialist solutions for increased efficiency in well completions and production.

Overseeing Tendeka’s operations is chairman Martin Perry, who previously fulfilled the same role for Sensornet. He has led two management buyouts of an independent oilfield services company, headed up an Initial Public Offering (IPO) and subsequently achieved a successful sale with a market capitalisation of $600 million. Mr Perry joined the oil industry in 1984 as a field engineer after gaining an engineering degree at Exeter University.

Neale Carter joins Tendeka as CEO and is responsible for leading the successful integration of the sibling organisations and identifying other companies which could enhance Tendeka’s existing offering. With more than 17 years industry experience working at major oilfield technology companies, Mr Carter’s most recent position was CEO of Sensornet. His tenure saw the company achieve a number of world first’s, including the installation of a distributed fibre optic monitoring system in a Middle East Maximum Reservoir Contact (MRC) well in 2008.

The Tendeka family companies design, produce, assemble and sell innovative, high quality completions solutions to help operators meet their production goals, by maximising recovery efficiency and prolonging asset life. The extensive portfolio of products and services are available globally and delivered locally with ‘on the ground’ expertise.

Mr Perry, said: “Joining Tendeka is a great opportunity. Bringing together three vibrant technology firms under one brand will have significant benefits for existing and potential customers alike. With long-term growth plans in place, I am confident the company will go from strength to strength.”

Commenting on his appointment, Mr Carter added: “I am delighted to have joined Tendeka as it is an exciting company with ambitious plans. The experience gained from my time at Sensornet will be invaluable and I am eager to provide a focal point and driving force for future growth.”
