Suncor Energy says that production at its oil sands facility during June averaged approximately 306,000 barrels per day (bpd). Year-to-date oil sands production at the end of June averaged approximately 289,000 bpd. Suncor is targeting average oil sands production of 300,000 bpd (+5%/-10%) in 2009.

In addition to Suncor's proprietary production of sweet and sour synthetic crude oil, diesel and non-upgraded bitumen sold directly to the market, reported production also includes products derived from bitumen received from Petro-Canada for processing on a fee-for-service basis.
