StatoilHydro to use mobile facility Scarabeo 5 on the Kristin field

StatoilHydro - Scarabeo 5

StatoilHydro has received consent for use of the mobile facility Scarabeo 5 on the Kristin field. The consent is an extension of our previous consent for use of the facility granted in June 2003.

StatoilHydro has applied for the following changes in relation to the original application for consent:

Conduct well intervention on well S-4 H on the Kristin field to re-establish two independent barriers by recompleting the well.

Well S-4 H has communication between production tubing and annulus (loss of barrier).

Planned start-up is the beginning of May 2009. The activity has an estimated duration of 90 days.

Scarabeo 5 has drilled and completed wells on the Kristin field during the period 2003 – 2008
