Tracerco, part of the FTSE 100 Johnson Matthey Plc,, is exhibiting and presenting the launch of its ground-breaking new subsea technology, DiscoveryTM, at the Australasian Oil and Gas Exhibition in Perth in February as it becomes available to customers for the first time.
As well as offering delegates at the event the chance to view footage of DiscoveryTM in action and its trailblazing ability to provide a 360 degree, high resolution scan of the condition of complex piping systems. Lee Robins, Head of Subsea Services at Tracerco will also be presenting a paper on the revolutionary product.
Discovery has the ability to inspect a range of different unpiggable piping systems including pipe-in-pipe and pipe bundles without the need to remove pipe coatings and insulation or interrupt production. Discovery provides a unique insight of pipeline integrity and flow assurance issues.
Lee Robins, Head of Subsea at Tracerco said, “We are very excited about being able to finally present the Australian oil and gas industry with the opportunity to test out Discovery’s trailblazing technology. We have also planned a workshop later in the year in Perth which is designed to provide potential customers, who may not have heard about Discovery before, to find out more about its innovative, reliable and effective applications.”
Ken Pearson, MD for Australasia added, “Australasia is a very important market for Tracerco. Our operational base in Perth is excited to deliver this first of its kind technology to the Australasian customer base.”
Tracerco’s world first technology was created in cooperation with Statoil to develop detection technology with the primary goal of use in flow assurance applications; although the applications have since expanded to include integrity issues on a variety of subsea rigid and flexible pipelines. This new development is the latest in a history of over cooperation between Tracerco and their customers over the years.
