Wood Group ESP names Trevor Adams Country Manager, Libya-Spotlight

John Wood Group’s Venezuela business has won a $200-million contract with state income earner PDVSA to deliver wellhead equipment onshore and offshore for five years.

Wood Group Amesa is a joint venture with a local partner and will build and install low-pressure wellheads and trees in three different field-production applications, including natural flow, artificial lift and steam injection. WG Amesa will also maintain the equipment and manage an inventory of small parts.

To support the new contract, WG Amesa will invest in new equipment for its Maracaibo facility and hire technicians and engineers.
