Tullow Oil has ended its three-well appraisal of the Kaiso-Tonya area of Congo with an appraisal well that struck oil in three strata of rock and signalled development.
The Mputa-4 in Block 4 detected 15.4 metres of net pay and “moveable light, sweet crude” with the porosity found in the other Mputa wells.
A statement said information wrought from the well was good-enough to get going on “an early production system development”.
