Paris-based Total has confirmed the Iranian Pars project liquefied natural gas is stalled, giving creedence to warnings from Iran last week that the price being quoted for its gas was too low, Dow Jones reported Tuesday.

Chief Executive Christophe de Margerie reportedly said he would think carefully about signing, even with a contract for the 10-million-tonnne project, as everyone from his country’s own foreign minister to U.S. officials have said do not do business with Iran, a company buffeted by military threats from the United States and Israel.
