Solstad to ship pipes for Saipem

New contract to Solstad Offshore-Spotlight

Solstad Offshore has been asked by heavy lift outfit Saipmen in the United Kingdom to provide four platform supply vessels in support of pipe-laying in the Mediterranean Sea.

The ships — Normand Aurora, Normand Carrier and Normand Flipper and Normand Vester — will carry pipes between summer 2008 and 2012. The ships will ply the Baltic Sea and North Sea until 2012 earning for 3,500 days.

A 1,500-day option was also penned into the Letter of Intent.
