Prosafe to divide and multiply

Prosafe acquires VLCC-Link-2

The board of floating production and housing rig company Prosafe SE has decided to split the company into “two two focused, listed companies”.

An “accommodation and service rig” entity and one floating production company will list in the second half of 2008, judging by a company release. Company leadership said both new entities would have the financial clout to grow their own businesses.

The Cyrpus-listed company reported $150 million in 2006 profits.
