Petrobras says that its average oil and natural gas production in Brazil and abroad in September was 2,472,213 barrels of oil equivalent per day. In Brazil, average production was 2,222,387 boe/day, indicating a 3.7% drop from August.
Petrobras’s total production abroad was 249,826 boe/day, corresponding to a 4.8% rise when compared to the previous month.
Of the total production in Brazil, 1,843,000 barrels per day (bpd) were exclusively of oil, representing a 4.4% drop from August. The scheduled shutdowns of P-52 at Roncador field and P-19 at Marlim field, which began in August, were primarily responsible for this drop. In September, FPSO Cidade de Anchieta went on stream at Baleia Azul field, off the coast of Espírito Santo state. This new platform will have the capacity to produce up to 100,000 bpd when peak production is reached within the upcoming months.
