Mærsk Gallant to carry out production drilling on Ekofisk B-Spotlight

Swedish oil compay Lundin’s Norwegian business has won regulator approval to explore for oil with the Maersk Gallant jack-up drill rig in the North Sea off the southwest Norwegian town of Egersund.

Well 2/5-14 S and sidestep 2/5-14 A will be drilled in mid-October over 120 days.

The North Sea off Norway is considered a mature area, where export infrastructure is thickest.
