JKX joins third Poltava producer

U.K. outfit JKX Oil & Gas has a new producing well in the Eastern Ukraine at Poltava, where the M159 well has tested 1.4 million cubic feet of gas per day.

The well was drilled down to 2,547 metres and penetrated 88 m of hydrocarbon-bearing rock. Flows were tied a production facility via six-kilometre flow line.

The Molchanovskoye field was drilled to speed up production which had been coming from two other wells.
