Maintenance contracts for all of the company’s facilities are being reviewed and included in the ongoing ISO re-negotiation process.
Statoil agrees farm-in with OMV in New ZealandFeb 18, 2016Statoil has agreed with OMV to acquire a 30% working interest in Petroleum Exploration Permit (PEP) 57073. This will further strengthen Statoil’s position in New Zealand. The permit covers an area of 9,800 square kilometres in the East Coast Basin, and sits in water depths of 1,000-2,000 metres. OMV will remain the operator with 70% working interest. The transaction is subject to regulatory approval.
Aker Solutions and Total to cooperate on subsea technology developmentFeb 17, 2016Aker Solutions and Total agreed to collaborate on research and innovation to develop new cost-effective subsea field technology. Under this frame agreement, Subsea 7 will continue to provide Diving Support Vessel (DSV) services on a year-round basis, as well as associated project management and engineering services to over 40 facilities in the North Sea.

The company received a framework agreement for a fixed period of five years to become ConocoPhillips' main supplier of maintenance and modifications work offshore Norway. The agreement may be extended by up to three years and covers work on all installations at the Ekofisk and Eldfisk fields offshore Norway, starting in February.
Statoil to explore offshore UruguayFeb 2, 2016Statoil Uruguay B.V. (Statoil) has agreed with Total E&P Uruguay B.V. (Total) to acquire 15% working interest in offshore exploration block 14 in Uruguay. This represents a new impact opportunity for Statoil and a new country entry. Block 14 is located in the Pelotas basin of the South Atlantic Ocean, approximately 200 kilometres off the coast of Uruguay. It covers an area of 6,690 square kilometres in water depths of 1,850 to 3,500 metres.

Petrofac, in a consortium with Siemens, has the full responsibility for the construction and offshore installation of the BorWin3 platform of TenneT, which will house a Siemens HVDC station that converts the alternating current produced by the wind turbines to direct current before transmitting it onshore to the German national grid.
Lankhorst Ropes awarded mooring rope contract with ShellJan 29, 2016Offshore rope manufacturer, Lankhorst Ropes, has been awarded a contract by Shell Offshore Inc. to supply the mooring lines for the Appomattox development to be located approximately 140 nautical miles Southeast of New Orleans in the Gulf of Mexico. The semi-submersible four-column production platform will be moored in approximately 7,200 feet (2,195 metres) of water using 16 mooring lines arranged in 4x4 clusters. Lankhorst Ropes is supplying 78 rope lengths totalling over 63,000 metres of Lankhorst’s Gama 98® polyester deepwater mooring rope with minimum breaking strength of 21,545 kN.
BG Group and Keppel to fuel ships with LNG in SingaporeJan 28, 2016BG Group and Keppel Offshore & Marine have secured the license to supply LNG bunker to vessels in the Port of Singapore after submitting a joint bid to the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore. With the granting of the license, BG Group and Keppel will form a 50-50 joint venture to deliver an end-to-end bunkering solution using LNG sourced from BG Group's diversified LNG portfolio.
