Chevron’s liquefied natural gas project, Gorgon LNG, off Western Australia has been given the environmental green light by state regulators.
The Barrow Island site has been approved, clearing the way for 40 trillion cubic feet of natural gas to be sold over 60 years.
ExxonMobil and Shell are also onboard, although the announcement is also good news for owners of LNG carriers.
