Technocean has secured work for the Polar Prince at least until April and possibly six months beyond at a Congolese field of Total's. The Polar Prince and Polarbjørn will both provide supply inspection, maintenance and repair services. Norway-based electromagnetic service company Petromarker has hired the "Polarbjørn" subsea-vessel for three months from April 2009, although spot market work is in the offing until then. "We are pleased to observe that Technocean now is awarded a contract from one of the large oil companies and thus become accepted as an international subsea contractor," stated company boss Sven Rong of GC Rieber. He didn't elaborate. |
