ExxonMobil asks Wavefield Inseis to Norway shoot

ExxonMobil has awarded survey outfit Wavefield Inseis the job scanning the seabed around the Ringhorne, Balder and Forseti fields offshore Norway.

It’s the first survey Wavefield has had with ExxonMobil, and it’ll take a month to complete in the spring of 2009.

Wavefield, meanwhile, is the target of a takeover by Paris-based survey outfit CGGVeritas. Wavefield shareholders are fresh from facing arbitration proceedings involving rival TGS-Nopec.
