The Energy Industries Council (EIC), the leading trade association for UK companies that supply goods and services to the energy industries worldwide, will be the centre of attention at Offshore Europe on 3-6 September 2013 as the largest single exhibitor at the show. The EIC Pavilion, which will be located in a prominent position in Hall 3, will host 42 companies at what has become the largest international oil and gas event outside of North America.
The EIC’s involvement in Offshore Europe 2013 comes at a time of growing optimism in the offshore European oil & gas sector with the development of advanced production technology, combined with a sustained high oil price, fuelling a resurgence of activity in the North Sea and beyond. According to EICDataStream, the EIC’s global project database which tracks nearly 10,000 of the most significant projects across the oil & gas, power and renewable sectors, there are currently 146 projects proposed or under development in the UK, worth a total potential investment value of US$88.4 billion, while Norway has 111 active or future offshore oil and gas projects worth an estimated US$145.7 billion.
Central to the North Sea oil and gas industry is a globally recognised strong and adaptable supply chain, capable of exporting engineering solutions and technical expertise to energy projects worldwide.
