Norway-based oil company DNO International says its award of Block 211/27d in the recent U.K. offshore licensing round will likely add to the resource estimate at it Mulle “appraisal project”.
Company shares dipped slightly on the news and a business-as-usual Northern Iraq update.
The company said the 17 million barrels of oil thought to be in place at Mulle has not been flow-tested since its 1977 discovery.
DNO is operator of Block 211/22b which contains Mulle. Newly awarded Block 211/27d lies adjacent.
