Det Norske Oljeselskap (Pertra until yesterday) has made two oil discoveries with wildcat well 15/12-18A between the Sleipner and Varg fields of the North Sea.
Paleocene and Jurassic rock gave up the finds from the so-called Ty formation.
Operator DNO put the size of the two discoveries at upwards of 7 million standard cubic meters of recoverable oil.
The jack-up platform Mærsk Giant in 90 meters of water.
