BP secures Safe Scandinavia for work crews

Service-rig and floating production specialist Prosafe has been asked by BP in Norway to provide the Safe Scandinavia and then the MSV Regalia housing-support rigs for $166 million.

BP’s Valhall offshore platform project facility in the Norwegian sector of the North Sea requires Prosafe services for two years. The likely contract period could be extended with a six-month, $44-million option.
