Aker Kvaerner will earn $213 million on two drilling-equipment orders for Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering Co. of Korea.

Aker Kvaerner MH in Kristiansand will supply the complete drilling equipment kit to one drill ship and one semi-submersible rig Daewoo is building.

The “ultra-deepwater” rigs are due to make their splash in the rig market late in 2010.

Aker Kvaerner MH neighbours in southern Norway are rotating equipment specialist Bosch Rexroth and drilling equipment and services expert National Oilwell Varco.
