SpeedCast International Limited, global satellite ommunications and network service provider, has announced that it has been awarded a contract to provide one of the largest global oilfield service companies in the world with a fully managed network service for ten sites in the UAE and Oman, as an expansion to current services in other regions.
Keith Johnson, Senior Vice President & General Manager – Energy, SpeedCast, says, “Managed services create significant value for our customers as SpeedCast delivers end-to-end service managing and controls all aspects of the network as well as the complexity of the local licensing and regulatory requirements. That way, we ensure networks are delivered on-time and on-budget, comply with local laws, and meet the most demanding operational standards. With a managed service agreement, we can react quickly to new requirements and provide services to new sites in a seamless manner.”
“This win demonstrates our ability to achieve revenue synergies as a result of our recent acquisitions,” Pierre Jean Beylier, CEO of SpeedCast, comments. “We have been serving the Customer through different entities in different regions and we are now growing as a more significant global partner for them. Our recent acquisitions position us well to expand our services to regions where we have not had a strong presence historically. The Middle East is a good example of that with our expanded Dubai office and our office in Iraq. Our unique global infrastructure and service network are positioning us well to service energy customers wherever they are.”
