SGS was awarded a contract to provide quality assurance and quality control services for a thermal power project in India by IL&FS Tamil Nadu Power Company Limited.

At the end of December 2014, IL&FS Tamil Nadu Power Company Limited awarded SGS a contract to provide quality assurance and quality control services on site at a thermal power project in Tamil Nadu.

An initial investment of two team leaders from the fields of mechanical and civil engineering may be increased up to a group of seven, depending on project development. The agreement, scheduled to run from January 2014 until June 2015, includes an extension option and marks the first SGS collaboration with the Tamil Nadu Power Company.
