Serica Energy says that Chris Hearne has notified the Company of his intention to stand down as Chief Financial Officer of Serica in order to take up a senior position in another listed oil and gas company.
Chris has agreed to remain with Serica until 31 May 2015 in order to oversee the completion of the Erskine transaction and the publication of the Company's 2014 financial results. He has served on the Board of Serica as Chief Financial Officer since 2005 and the Company wishes him every success in his new position.
Tony Craven Walker, Chairman commented:'Chris Hearne has given valuable service over the years he has been at Serica, during which time he has seen the Company change from a company focussed on the North Sea and South East Asia, to a company with exploration interests in the Atlantic Margins, and a growing focus on production in the Central North Sea. Chris will be staying to see through Serica's acquisition of an 18% interest in the producing North Sea Erskine Field from BP, which is expected to complete shortly, and through the publication of the Company's 2014 financial results. He will be relinquishing his post with Serica on 31 May 2015 and we wish him well in his new role.'
