Senex moves to lift production at Worrior oil field in SA's Cooper Basin

Senex Energy Limited

Senex Energy Limited commenced development drilling at Worrior oil field over the weekend with the spudding of Worrior-8 in southern Cooper Basin permit PPL207 (Senex 70% and operator, Cooper Energy 30%, ).

Ensign Rig 48 commenced drilling on Saturday 22 June and is drilling ahead to a total depth of 1,780 metres, targeting the Murta Formation, 236 metres south west of Worrior-1.

Worrior-8 is one of two wells that will be drilled at the oil field in the September quarter and the first well of a substantial oil drilling program that will be undertaken across Senex's Cooper Basin permits into 2013/14.
