RockFLEET vessel tracking system
The recently launched RockFLEET vessel tracking system has been selected by the Seawork International 2015 organisers as part of the popular Innovations Showcase feature. Developed by the Southampton based Iridium partner Rock Seven, RockFLEET provides low-cost vessel position reporting over satellite from anywhere in the world, and is part of Rock Seven’s technically advanced portfolio of tracking and communication products.
The ‘Spirit of Innovations Showcase’ at Seawork 2015 allows visitors and exhibitors to see the latest projects, products and vessels that ‘push the envelope’ of ideas and provide new solutions. Launched in September 2014, RockFLEET is a highly innovative and flexible product that introduces unique features for vessel tracking systems, including a built in back-up battery so the system can continue transmitting a vessel’s location even if there is no power on board.
“We’re delighted to have been selected for the Innovations Showcase at Seawork and enthused by the reaction to RockFLEET since its launch,” comments Nick Farrell, Director, Rock Seven. “Our aim was to create a reliable, low-cost system for global vessel tracking that can fit the budget of all vessel owners and operators. I believe we’ve achieved this whilst also offering advancements in functionality and application that have not been available before.”
