Subsea services firm, Rovco was crowned the New Enterprise of the Year at the prestigious Subsea UK Awards in Aberdeen last week.
Held during Subsea Expo, Europe’s largest subsea-focused exhibition and conference, the ceremony brought together more than 600 industry professionals to recognise the finest talent, leadership and contributions across the sector.
Bristol-based Rovco was presented with the New Enterprise accolade in recognition of its outstanding performance in the subsea sector and its plans for future growth, both within the UK and internationally.
The company beat off stiff competition from respected industry peers to pick up the title, which commends successful start-ups that have made significant progress in less than three years of operation.
Entrants were judged on overall vision, commercial performance to date and market differentiation.
Former ROV superintendent, Brian Allen set up Rovco in 2016 to bring a unique offering to the market, utilising the latest AUV and ROV systems to deliver a cost effective solution for gathering critical data in even the most challenging seas. The company has maintained its strong position since formation and has been profitable since six months into starting up.
Brian Allen, CEO of Rovco, comments, “We are very proud of the business we have developed, and to have our commitment to both the region and the energy sector recognised at these highly regarded awards is a great endorsement of the hard work delivered by our employees. The past 2 years have been extremely challenging to get the company to where it is today, however we are well positioned to build upon our strong market position, track record and delivery.”
