RBG has received the award for Safety Leadership at a ceremony in Aberdeen last week.
Presented to RBG by Subsea UK at its annual dinner, the awards celebrate the excellence, innovation and exceptional achievements from across the subsea sector supply chain.
Receiving the Safety Leadership award for its REACH campaign, which launched last year, RBG demonstrated how its commitment and drive to encourage open and honest communication with employees, clients and suppliers to promote collective dialogue has led to significant improvements in safety performance across the company's global operations.
The accolade comes as RBG prepares to launch its own REACH safety awards, designed to celebrate examples of outstanding safety performance from within the organisation.
On receiving the award, RBG's group HSEQ director, Mike Mann said: 'This is a fantastic achievement for RBG. We've worked hard to raise safety standards throughout the organisation here in the UK and internationally. Our aim is to encourage a behavioural shift and, at the same time, ensure that the promotion of safe working practice is at the core of everything we do both internally and with our clients and suppliers.
'This award is testament to the hard work and dedication from everyone at RBG. Since launching REACH we have worked together to target some of the most prominent and underlying root causes that can lead to incidents, creating a positive safety culture that is now visible in everything we do. RBG aims to be recognised for its commitment to a quality service delivered to world-class safety standards.'
