RBG has underlined its commitment to safety with the appointment of Mike Mann as group HSEQ manager.

Mr Mann has more than 25 years experience working in the international energy industry, having operated both on and offshore in the construction, drilling and production sectors. He brings a wealth of technical knowledge and expertise to the role having specialised in HSEQ and security activity for more than a decade.

With a focus on reviewing and enhancing RBG’s HSEQ activity, Mr Mann will also be the focal point for the company’s internal REACH safety initiative. The programme was developed to strengthen its focus on safety and drive improvements in health, environment and quality delivery.

Mr Mann joins RBG from Cairn Energy where he was the group corporate responsibility manager, responsible for the company’s HSEQ, security and corporate and social responsibility.

RBG chief executive officer, Dave Workman, said: “Safety is a core value for RBG and we are fully committed to ensuring all our employees work in the safest environment possible. Mike’s appointment is a critical step in achieving this and I am confident he will enhance our safety operations across the company.”
