RBG Limited-3

RBG reports the award of a major circa £30 million contract from Nexen, which will secure 50 jobs.

The four-year contract will see RBG deliver fabric maintenance, deck and mechanical services, specialist cleaning, access solutions and rigging services on Nexen’s Scott and Buzzard rigs, located in the North Sea.

RBG has provided vital services on the Scott platform since 1996, and commenced work on Buzzard almost five years ago. The company will be continuing its fabric maintenance programmes, with a significant focus on this activity and deck crew services on both assets throughout 2010 and beyond. Activity on Nexen’s Buzzard Enhancement Project will also take place.

Dave Workman, RBG chief executive officer, said: “Securing this contract underlines our position as the leading fabric maintenance provider in the UKCS, also highlighting the benefits of our integrated service. The region is still a major growth area and this announcement will position us well for our plans in the region in 2010 and beyond.”
