Kevin Lyon - RBG-2

RBG Limited (RBG), reports changes to its Board of Directors to support the company’s ongoing development and growth.

As of 1st February 2010, businessman Kevin Lyon became Deputy Chairman of the Aberdeen-based service contractor. At the same time the company announced the promotion of Andrew Glen, who was appointed to the role of Chief Financial Officer in December 2004, to Finance Director.

Kevin – who was shortlisted in the 2009 Sunday Times Non-executive Director of the Year Awards for private equity/unquoted companies – will utilise his experience and wealth of knowledge in corporate governance to guide RBG in its continued international expansion.

In addition to RBG, Kevin is currently Chairman of Valiant plc, a quoted oil and exploration company, Mono Global Group Limited, an infrastructure support services to the telecoms sector and Wyndeham Press Group Limited, a printing and communications group. Kevin is also a non-executive Director of health and fitness club operator David Lloyd.

Kevin commented: “I am delighted to be joining RBG at such an exciting time. RBG is a well established business within the energy industry, but I have no doubt that our extensive range of products and services mean there are significant market opportunities from both existing and new customers. I am very much looking forward to working with the company through a period of focused and continuous growth.”

Prior to the formation of RBG, Andrew Glen joined Rigblast in 2003 as Finance Manager, following a number of overseas positions in Myanmar, Australia, Vietnam, Qatar and Kuwait. Andrew brings over 20 years’ accounting experience in the international energy sector, from both a service and drilling contractor perspective.
