RBG Limited has secured three new contracts for maintenance and subsea operations in the UK North Sea, worth a combined annual total of £5million.
Work has already commenced on a three year contract to maintain and upgrade heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) on Talisman Energy (UK) Limited’s Auk, Clyde and Fulmar platforms.
RBG’s Mach-Ten Mechanical Services division has confirmed the award of a five-year contract to provide bolt torquing and tensioning services to Talisman’s offshore installations in the UKCS. RBG Mach-Ten has been a preferred contractor of mechanical services to Talisman since 2000.
The division has also been awarded a major contract from Technip to provide bolting and subsea solutions. A dedicated RBG project manager is based in the client’s office in Westhill, near Aberdeen, to oversee the work which is RBG’s biggest subsea bolting win since the product was launched twelve months ago.
The Mach-Ten contract wins follow on from RBG’s acquisition in January 2008 of Portable Works Limited, the largest provider of mechanical bolting solutions in Trinidad & Tobago. The acquisition complements RBG's existing business in Trinidad, by broadening its service offering in line with its capabilities elsewhere in the world.
RBG CEO, Tadg Slattery, commented, "The award of these contracts reflects RBG’s ability to safely deliver a variety of services to our clients. As well as our traditional maintenance services, innovative technologies such as our subsea bolting range are also in demand."
