Carnarvon Petroleum Limited (Carnarvon) says that the operator of the Roc-1 well in permit WA-437-P offshore Western Australia, Quadrant Energy, has reported that the well is ready to spud once the rig owner, Noble Corporation, receives certification and approval for the in-transit safety case modifications to the jackup Noble Tom Prosser (400' ILC).

The equity interest holders (upon satisfaction of the farm in agreement terms) in WA-437-P are:

Carnarvon Petroleum - 20 percent
Quadrant Energy (Operator) - 40 percent
JX Nippon - 20 percent
Finder Exploration - 20 percent
