ProSep has been awarded a $2.1 million contract by Whiting Petroleum to provide an additional membrane unit to increase gas treatment capacity at their Wickett CO2 Removal Facility located in West Texas.
“Our Houston team is focused on delivering quality and their ability to build strong client relationships has been instrumental to our growing success,” said Jacques L. Drouin, President and CEO of ProSep Inc. “Our group’s expertise, combined with the modularity of our membrane technology, allows us to seamlessly retrofit installed equipment and quickly increase treatment capacity, an important cost-benefit for enhanced-oil-recovery activities.”
Whiting Petroleum’s Wickett facility recovers CO2 from high-CO2 associated gas for enhanced-oil-recovery re-injection. The membrane unit currently operating at Whiting Petroleum’s West Texas treatment facility was provided by ProSep in 2006.
As Whiting Petroleum’s production grew by 50%, additional treating capacity is required. With this expansion equipment, treatment capacity will increase from 40 MMSCFD to 60 MMSCFD. Delivery is scheduled for the third quarter of 2009.
ProSep’s sales backlog totals approximately $43 million.
