Precision Polymer Engineering (PPE), manufacturers of high performance molded elastomer seals held a grand opening for its new Houston facility on May 30th.
Invited guests from the oil and gas industry joined the PPE team at the facility located on the Sam Houston Tollway, NW of downtown Houston. The ribbon cutting to mark the official opening was presided over by Brett Finley, Vice President of Fluid & Metering Technologies and PPE’s Managing Director Paul Gillyon. Also in attendance was special guest Dr Ramanan Krishnamoorti the Professor of Petroleum Engineering at the University of Houston who delivered a short talk entitled ‘Future Challenges of Elastomer Sealing’.
The facility, which consists of office space, meeting rooms, a material testing and analysis laboratory (including high pressure test equipment), warehousing and a customer support centre, will bring significant technical and performance benefits to those operating in the global oil and gas exploration market from bases in Houston.
