The Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) Aberdeen Section is to host a brand new seminar this month which will highlight ‘new frontiers’ in the field of inwell flow surveillance and control.
This seminar is the first of its kind for SPE Aberdeen, which consistently expands and enhances its events programme in line emerging trends and critical issues in the oil and gas industry.
The seminar, which is sponsored by Aramco Overseas Company, an affiliate of Saudi Aramco headquarted in Europe, will see the keynote address delivered by Dr. Mohamed N. Noui-Mehidi, a petroleum engineering consultant at Saudi Aramco’s Exploration and Petroleum Engineering Center, Advanced Research Center (EXPEC ARC).
During his address, Dr. Noui-Mehidi will give an overview of the practices already in place in downhole flow control and monitoring, before moving on to discuss the opportunities for investment and development in the future.
