Solomon Associates reported that Paul Kennedy has joined the company’s Asia operations as vice president. He will be based at the company’s Singapore office.
Kennedy brings more than 25 years of experience in the oil refining and consulting industries. He has spent more than 14 years working in Asia, with a particular focus on Southeast Asia, Japan and China.
“As our clients know, Solomon Associates’ management team excels in hands-on operational experience on a global level,” said Dale Emanuel, president of Solomon Associates. “Paul brings expertise to our Singapore office in refinery performance analysis and business development in the region.”
Most recently, Kennedy served as senior vice president for Asia consulting for KBC, where he led significant growth in Asia-based resources and operations revenue. Prior to this he managed and executed numerous consultancy assignments, including on-site opportunity implementation and continuing improvement projects.
In the early part of his career, Kennedy was a process engineer at a refinery in the United Kingdom, where he worked in operations planning, partner allocations, advanced process control and technical services.
Michael Hileman, who has served as vice president of Asia operations since June 2010, will return to Solomon Associates’ Dallas office this fall.
