NPD postpones 3D seismic survey offshore Norway

The NPD's planned 3D acquisition was scheduled to start on 15 June. It is now clear that the start-up date will be postponed by at least one week.

The 3D seismic will be acquired in an area in the northern part of Nordland VII and the southern part of Troms II.

The reason for the postponement is that the 3D vessel BOS Arctic has been delayed in departing from the shipyard in Spain where it is undergoing a re-build .

The BOS Arctic is the former shrimp trawler Ocean Trawler from Fosnavåg, built in 1999.

The NPD will release more information about the start-up date as soon as we receive more details from the shipping company that owns the BOS Arctic, Bergen Oilfield Services.
