WFS Technologies has appointed Mike Theobald as Project Director for Australia and Southeast Asia. He brings considerable subsea control systems knowledge and understanding, as well as an insight into how best to use Seatooth products and technology.
Mr Theobald has worked in the subsea industry for over 25 years. He started his career with FSSL (formally Kvaerner Oilfield Products, now Aker Solutions) in 1988, just as subsea systems were gaining popularity.
His core discipline is in subsea control systems. Roles with both operators (BP, Maersk Oil, Woodside and Petronas) and equipment manufacturers have given him a wealth of technology, operations and project management experience.
Mr Theobald comments, “It will be very rewarding to be part of the team working on this remarkable technology and developing new areas to which can be applied. I will be focused on continuing the successful growth of WFS’ presence in the Southeast Asian and Australian regions.”
Brendan Hyland, Chairman at WFS Technology Ltd says, “We are delighted to have Mike join our team. He brings strong industry experience and a deep knowledge of the control market in which we are successfully establishing ourselves. His customer centric approach and strong regional network will enable us to broaden the scope of our advanced technologies in this key area.”
