Cable and pipe transit provider Roxtec has launched the Roxtec HD – a cable entry device for use in terminal boxes and enclosures. The cable entry system meets the challenge with high cable density in applications with high safety demands and is available in versions for use in potentially explosive atmospheres as well as for non-hazardous locations. Besides providing environmental protection, it helps designers and installers save time, space and money.
The Roxtec HD (high density) cable entry device is developed to serve in the harshest of environments. It consists of an AISI 316L acid-proof stainless steel frame and industry-proven components such as Roxtec sealing modules, making it adaptable to cables of different sizes.
The Roxtec HD makes it easy to route and seal multiple cables of any type in just one opening. A single cut-out for a Roxtec HD kit can accommodate up to 32 cables – which reduces the amount of space required when compared to 32 traditional cable glands. It allows designers and manufacturers to reduce the quantity, size and weight of enclosures. They can actually cut weight by half and increase cable capacity by up to 40% when compared to cable glands.
The Roxtec HD meets cable schedule requirements and can accommodate smooth, corrugated, armored and non-armored cables. This replacement to cable glands in boxes and enclosures in both hazardous and non-hazardous locations helps ensuring safety and operational reliability.
