Scott Fenwick, technical director at the National Biodiesel Board (NBB) in Jefferson City, Missouri, USA, has been named the new chairman of ASTM International’s committee on petroleum products, liquid fuels, and lubricants (D02). His term will begin Jan. 1, 2018.
The committee on petroleum products, liquid fuels, and lubricants (D02) was formed in 1904 and boasts a current membership of more than 2,500 industry professionals and experts. These technical experts oversee more than 800 standards that play a significant role in all aspects relating to the standardization of petroleum products and lubricants.
A member of ASTM International since 2005, Fenwick has previously served as a laboratory manager with Inspectorate America Corporation, and Intertek Caleb Brett, and more. He holds a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Purdue University.
In addition to several ASTM International committees, Fenwick is a member of the International Organization for Standardization, and the Canadian General Standards Board.
